How Do I Clear the Cache on My Browser?

If you're not seeing recent changes to your website, then you probably need to clear the cache on your web browser first. Here's how.

If you, our team or someone else working on your website made a change or an update, but you are not seeing said update, then there's a good chance that your browser is showing a cached (previous) version of your website.

Try a Hard Refresh

The first thing you can try is to do a hard refresh as this will often serve up the recent changes.

On a Mac...

Either hold down SHIFT and click the Reload button. Or Hold down COMMAND, SHIFT and click the 'R' key.

On a PC...

Either hold down CTRL and click the Reload button. Or, Hold down CTRL and press F5.

Clear the Cache

If the hard refresh didn't do the trick, then you probably need to clear your cache and cookies on your web browser. These steps will be a bit different based on which web browser you're using, but the idea is the same...

You will be clearing out all of the saved (or cached) versions of the websites you've visited over a certain period of time so that you can see the most recent, updated version of the website you're working on.

These web browsers are constantly updating and changing where these settings are located and how they work. If the instructions above don't match up with your browser, then you can find the most updated instructions by using this search query in Google.com...
